Still in Weekes

Goes "uptown" to Golden Age to play crib with the men. I think Matt likes to be home but is difficult for him to do too much in ways of extra curricular activity. Matt met a fellow quad in Saskatoon when Matt was still in City rehab. He lives in Saskatoon and comes to Weekes to hunt every year. He can wheel himself around so is not a full quad. He was supposed to go to Beijing for the Olympics for rugby but felt he was too old. However he had went to Australia and Athens for the paralympics. He will be up to hunt next week so it will be nice for Matt to have a visit.
Still has urinary tract infection and it is now a new strain so has to go on a different antibiotic. Has been very stiff from lack of exercise and mom has been working. It is so hard to do any standing with only the two of them and no standing frame. Looking forward to coming to Red Deer in the near future. Matt's neck is hurting all the time so when he is here we will try our LILT, low intensity light therapy on him. I was having trouble with my hip for 3 years and had two therapy sessions and now I am running again, so hopefully Matt will have the same success.
I will probably write the blog every week now until Matt gets to rehab, unless something exciting happens. Thanks for all of you who continue to read the blog and for your continued support of Matt.
