On The Move Again
Matt was in a powered chair today for a short time. It isn't the one made for him, but it will do. It is one with hand controls, so they were unsure if Matt would be strong enough in his right hand. They had to make a few adjustments but by the 3rd attempt he was moving the chair himself with the controls. He couldn't go far but imagine that few minutes of freedom. Careful walking in the hospital now! Matt will soon be on the loose! He gets tired quickly, but that is to be expected. It is taking everything he has right now to move, and that is exhausting. He is also out of isolation, which is great because Jacki and Amy are coming down and we don't want any sick babies! He is feeling and looking better. They gave him his sleeping pills early last night and he was sleeping by midnight, so less groggy today. Matt is eating better as well, however he doesn't eat until after 3pm, still a bit nauseous before that. Pray that God will continue to lead the way and that we trust in him. Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Hi Matt! That must have felt great to have those few minutes of freedom! Do those chairs come equiped with horns???!!! We're so thrilled with all the progress you're making and you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Keep on pushing!! Hi to all!
Love, Shannon xoxo
Good Morning Matt & family,
It's 4:36 a.m. and I'm awake for some unknown reason so I thought I'd pop in to say hi!
Glad to hear you got to experience wheels. I'm sure it won't be long before you're zipping all over the place.
The weather was nice here on Sunday, but Monday's drizzle has brought combining to a halt once again.
The kids were home on the weekend, plus Larissa brought a couple of friends so we had a full house for Thanksgiving, but they all left by Monday afternoon and so the house was empty once again. But they did enjoy all the fixings of Thanksgiving - pumpkin pie, turkey and homemade cranberry sauce (I throw in canned mandarin oranges which is really tasty).
Hope you were able to sample a bit of those fixing this Thanksgiving as well.
We're still praying for you and the way it sounds, you're making great strides. Even though they may seem small, I'm sure that everyone is amazed at your progress. I will try and pop in there the latter half of next week when I'm up in Saskatoon.
Take care.

You take care!
