Things are of to a slow start regarding rehab. But Matt is very optimistic and in good spirits. Monday his neck was really hurting so the physio came and did some stretches. She said his left shoulder is hanging lower than the right which is causing him alot of the discomfort. The stretches really helped and last evening his neck wasn't hurting quite so bad. Matt talked to Nolan on the phone, watched hockey (yes he did see Montreal beat Boston!) and decided to stay in from the cold. For breakfast Matt had pancakes and pork sausage. He hadn't had pancakes for years and found he really liked them, especially when you eat them with sausage! For supper they served him chicken stew. Matt was tentative but once he started he really loved it.
Tonight he didn't have much time to talk. He was able to play a bit of Wii for rehab and had company. Said he didn't do too much seeing the weather still wasn't cooperating. Glad that he is having some company and will talk to him again tomorrow night. God's blessing on all!

Hey Matt! Glad to hear you are settling in. Hope the weather clears up there so you can explore your new neighbourhood soon. I drove through there on Sunday night when it was raining, but it soon turned to snow leaving the city. It's been quite snowy and blizzardy out here too. Well I guess I should get back to work. Have a super day!

Hey Matt
Glad to hear things are going well at the new place. Hopefully rehab will pick up again soon and get your butt in gear! I gave Shelley a bit more information on Project Walk from a girl I work with (her sister is currently there). It sounds like a really great place and something you could benefit from! But of course that's just my opinion, not a professionals!
Take care and we hope to see you soon. Maybe mom and I will come one day that I'm off.

I ran across this devotional recently, something I had saved for years. For two days I felt the Lord nudging me to put this on the blog. Not sure for who, but pray it will 'touch' some one the way it usually does me.
"Rivers of living water." JOHN VII.38
A river touches places of which its source knows nothing, and Jesus says if we have received of His fullness, however small the visible measure of our lives, out of us will flow the rivers that will bless lives, out of us will flow the rivers that will bless to the uttermost parts of the earth. We have nothing to do with the overflow "This is the work of God that you believe..." God rarely allows a soul to see how great a blessing he is.
A river is victoiously persistent, it overcomes all barriers. For a while it goes steadily on its course, then it comes to an obstacle and for a while it is baulked, but it soon makes a pathway round the obstacle. Or a river will drop out of sight for miles, and presently emerge again broader and grander than ever. You can see God using some lives, but into your life an obstacle has come and you do not seem to be of any use. Keep paying attention to the Source, and God will either take you round the obstacle or remove it. The river of the Spirit of God overcomes all obstacles. Never get your eyes on the obstacle or on the difficulty. The obstacle is a matter of indifference to the river which will flow steadily through you if you remember to keep right at the Source. Never allow anything to come between yourself and Jesus Christ, no emotion, or experience; nothing must keep you from the one great sovereign Source.
Think of the healing and far-flung rivers nursing themselves in our souls! God has been opening up marvelous truths to our minds, and every point He has opened up is an indiction of the wider power of the river He will flow through us. If you believe in Jesus, you will find that God has nourished in you mighty torrents of blessing for others.
