Just to update. Matt is still in Weekes waiting for the van to be fixed. We are currently having reno's done so Matt can get in and out of the basement easier. Thank goodness for nice weather. It was 27 degrees today, it was actually too hot! Very dusty here as we have had no rain for weeks. great for the farmers, terrible for the windows and dusting!
I think Matt was missing his time at the Golden Age so mom and dad managed to transfer him into the old car. It worked okay and dad even managed to transfer him back into his wheelchair himself. Tried to do some more floor exercises but Matt still so stiff and sore that didn't work too well. Keep it up Matt, I know there is still a huge fan base out there that is rooting for you. I talked to the president of the paraplegic society in Alberta and he was very surprised at how much movement Matt has with such an injury. He suffered a cervical spinal cord injury 20 years ago and has movement in upper body but limited dexterity, so he is rooting for Matt too. Met with him to see what Alberta has to offer quads.
The two physiotherapist nannies can't wait to get there hands on Matt, and not in a bad way either! There are already planning his rehab schedule.
Please continue to pray that the van will be fixed this week and that the weather holds so we can pour cement for a ramp. Thanks for everyone who reads the blog and continues to add Matt to their prayers.

All pretty much as ever around here - work eat and sleep -
The weather here is also very nice but not quite up to 27 - wow.. but low 20 and high teens - if only it would stay until say December 24th...

Hey Matt! Hope the van gets fixed soon so you can hurry and get out here while the weather is so nice! We'll have to come visit while you're in Red Deer and give you a break from all the physio your sister has planned for you! :) Have a great day!

Morning Matt,
Looks like you're in for a real workout with those nannies planning and all. I'm sure it will really be beneficial.
Just popped into town to get the mail etc. Looks like we might be done with combining this coming weekend. Can't wait to get back to normal. We're actually staying at our old little yellow house in Clemenceau - the house I think Desi called a little fairy house because it's so small. Have hunters in our other house.
And oh yes, we've become grandparents this last Monday - Dan and his wife had a big baby boy - 9 lbs 5 oz - Colby Braxton. He is precious.
Take care and lets hope the van gets fixed shortly.
Bev
