Patience and Faith
Matt is happy to be able to have company. It definitely makes the days and evenings go faster to see other faces. Today was another day of not much happening. This morning the nurse noticed that Matt's feeding tube had been pulled partly out, so they had to stop the feeds and get the Dr. to look at it. They decided to take him back to surgery and put a new one in, that will be done sometime tomorrow. His swallowing assessment is also scheduled for tomorrow. They were able to keep the fevers down today with the fan and cool cloths. Matt enjoys reading the e-mails, cards and the blog comments, they always brings a smile or two. Our prayers for tomorrow is that the feeding tube will be replaced in the morning and that the assessment will go well. Hebrew 10:23 says Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Hi Matthew, I have been in Panarama, BC for a few days so I was sure happy to read about how well you have been doing. Way to go!!Jackie sent pics of you moving your fingers. That is just wonderful. Only the beginning of things to come. We are praying for you tomorrow. Stay calm and believe that you can do your assessment with God's help and in God's time. Hi to your Mom and tell her my test results were good. Praise God!!! Hope you are having a good sleep and I am off to bed too. Love Auntie Ardis.
well MattI hope you are snoozing cause I woke up thinking of you so got up to read your news!Keep keeping on and you'll get done with that assessment yet. You never had trouble passing tests so this is quite a challenge eh? We will be thinking of you as you press on. Take care, and hope to see you again before too long. Yvonne
Morning Matt,
This is such a busy week for you and everyone else. The boys (and Uncle Lorne) are excited to be going back to school tomorrow...it's been a long cold August. Carson is in grade eight and Connor is in grade 4 this year. We got to babysit that new grandbaby Brooke last week...she is our little dolly and we adore her. Hope you get to meet her real soon. We are rooting for you every day and check on you every night. We are always soooo excited for you when you have another good day....!
Hi Joanne and George and everyone else...thinking of you all everyday as well.
Everyone sends their love.

Hi Matt,
So happy to hear about your toes!!!(I hadn't been around a computer for a week, so I just read the great news now). You and the operating room staff must be on a first name basis by now, you poor thing. Let's hope you won't need to go back there any time too soon!
I'm anxious to hear how the swallowing assessment goes. Good luck! You're a real trooper.

Hi Matt,
Gotta tell you a little story about Emma. We were on a road trip and the clock was 11:11, you know the thing, make a wish, so I did and Emma asked me what my wish was. I told her my wish was that Matty gets better real soon. Then she made a wish and I asked what her's was, she said she also wished that Matty gets better. Just thought it might bring a smile to your face knowing that we're all pulling for you big guy!!
Keep the faith Matt.

Matt and family:
I met Matt at Kelvington Grad and we had a good time. He likely wouldn't remember me, but I do wish you all the best.
Just sending you all my prayers, and hope for a good day tomorrow.
