Getting Stronger
Matt had a bath today, they took him up to the 6 th floor to use the tub, he said it felt great. He was really tired after his bath and trach trial, so slept a lot of the morning. His right hand and arm are getting stronger, he can move all five fingers and put some pressure on the thumb and fore finger. He can move his toes a little bit easier also, still has to concentrate to get things to move. He was able to eat a cookie today and also some cake, he had a Carmel frappa and a Iced Cappuccino from Tim Horton's that his nurse brought him. She also did a manicure and pedicure for him. Thank you all so much for lifting Matt up in prayer day by day. Psalm 146: 1 tells us Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. Psalm 121:1 states I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

Looks like I'm not the only one awake at this unearthly hour. It's around 1 a.m. and I can't sleep so I thought I'd check the blog. This week has been such an amazing week for you Matt. Food probably hasn't tasted any better. Keep wiggling those toes and fingers. You're probably surprising even the doctors around there. We'll keep praying for a complete recovery.

Another good day
Now that is a week that we have all been waiting for Matt. Way to go!!!
I hope you realize that there are hundreds of people out here in cyberspace who are sooooo excited for you and your family. One only has to start reading this blog from day one to see what "ginormous" steps you have made...you are amazing!
Carson and Connor ask about you every morning and send a big "Hi". You should see their faces when they learn that you have fought another day and won another battle.
OK Matt....now I have a silly little analogy for you. Did you ever have one of those little electronic Tamagotchi things that you had to check on and care for every day or they would get sad and sick and hungry and lonely...well you are kind of like that to the kids...they can't actully see and touch you...but they are checking on you every day...and you are getting better. And every time you get a little better...they are so excited for you. So we imagine that you are feeling the love by knowing that you are being checked on every hour of every day by someone who loves you. So until we get to see you again in person...You will be our cyber "Mattigotchi"
Told you it was a silly analogy...but hope it made you smile....!
Only Great Days Ahead!
Love Always

hi matty so good to hear the news every morning tht things are getting better. we had a wicked storm here last nite in lloyd that brought some pretty big trees down on the golf course and the camp area. one was inches away from hitting a car and truck. gods grace they didnt hit any campers. greg and his crew are out and about this am cutting trees and picking limbs. that will keep him out of my hair for a few hrs. take care matt. read every morning of your progress.ella
Hi Mattigotchi - that was a good one Myra. I enjoyed your comment. And so true. We all love our Mattigotchi and only pray for the very best.
A bath - wow. That's a long time to have sponge baths. You younger guys won't have a clue what I am talking about. Ha!
The guys started combining canola yesterday. It rained a little in the night so hopefully they can try again this afternoon.
Shauna & I are planning to come down one day next week. Can't wait to see you again. I have some pictures for you.
Talk to you soon. Love Always Aunty Sandy & Uncle Orest
Matt
The progress you have made over the last week is nothing short of amazing. Keep up the great work. Remember, good things come to those who wait.

Matt,
It is so great to read about your leaps and bounds. Emma asks about you everytime I'm on your site. Keep up the hard work Matt, we're all praying for you.
Hi to you too Joanne, what a wonderful Mom Matt has.
"A Mother's love is like a circle, it has no beginning and no ending. It keeps going around and around, ever expanding, touching everyone who comes in contact with it"
Take care and know that there are so many people out here thinking and praying for you each and every day.
Christine & Emma
