Long Week-End
Matt had a quiet day as with the long week end all his therapy is on hold. He took a tour around the hospital to see all the Christmas decorations, didn't go outside because his chair was giving him some trouble. He had some company and is always happy to visit. His appetite is getting better and was happy with the homemade Pizza Pop from one of the mom's at home. He is very tired of hospital food and says it all tastes the same. He was on the trach trail for 17 hours and they capped it for one hour. He will try for longer today. He continues to get stronger with his breathing, Praise the Lord. Prayers for today are that Matt will get more sensation in his hands and His left side will start moving more easier. Matt sends his love to all and thanks you for your prayers, jokes, food, visits, messages and support. Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.

Good to hear about your breathing getting stronger. We pray for you in church every Sunday morning as a congregation as well.
Here's my 'joke' for the day. It's kind of long so hopefully you don't get too bored before the end of it. I thought it was kind of cute.
Have a super long weekend. GO RIDERS! As I'm typing this, I'm sure you're watching the game. As of right now the score is 13-zip for the Riders.

How Many Dogs Does It Take to Change a Lightbulb?
GOLDEN RETRIEVER: The sun is shining. The day is young. We've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?
BORDER COLLIE: Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.
DACHSHUND: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!
ROTTWEILER: Make me.
LAB: Oh, me, me!!!! Pleeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I?
GERMAN SHEPHERD: I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark, check to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation.
TIBETIAN TERRIER: Let the Border Collie do it. You can feed me while he's busy.
JACK RUSSELL TERRIER: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.
POODLE: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
DOBERMAN: While it's dark, I'm going to sleep on the couch.
BOXER: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark....
CHIHUAHUA: Yo quiero Taco Bulb.
POINTER: I see it. There it is. There it is, right there....
GREYHOUND: It isn't moving. Who cares?
AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle...
OLD ENGLISH SHEEP DOG: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb....
HOUND DOG: ZZZZZZzzzzz.z.z.z..z..z..z...z
CAT: Dogs do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the question is: How long will it be before I can expect light? Will you people hurry up?!
ALL OF WHICH PROVES, ONCE AGAIN, THAT WHILE DOGS HAVE MASTERS, CATS HAVE STAFF.

Hey Matt,
Did ya get to watch the football game? It kept me on the edge of my seat. It wasn't pretty but it was a win I guess and that is all that matters...Hopefully they can pull out another win in BC. They'll have their work cut out for them though.
Anyways, hope you are having a good day and that you keep fighting.
Praying for you
Kelvin
Hey Matt! Hope you enjoyed the football game. I only saw part of it as I had to come to work. But it sounds like it was exciting.
Glad to hear that you are making continued progress!!
Have a great day, say hi to everyone!!
Love Heather
