Well, despite our prayers to the contrary, Matt developed a fever around 2pm of 101.2. He was adamant that he was going to be all right and not have to go back to Saskatoon early. It seems that God agreed and his temperature has been going down all day and at 10pm SK time, it was only 98.9. Because he felt poorly, he did not get up in his chair today. However, Mom & Dad have to be more strict as he needs to sit up everyday to help clear his lungs. Because of this fever, he did not have any visitors today, but I'm sure he'll be up for some company tomorrow. Matt has able to eat supper (sweet & sour meatballs & rice - one of his favorites!) and keep it down which is good. Please pray that Matt will recover from this fever by tomorrow and have a good day and week. James 5:15 "And prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"
The cavalry arrived in the form of Shelley, John, Irene and girls at 7:30pm, and Shelley was able to suction Matt and get a lot of secretions out. I guess she's taking over, and Mom is quite happy about that. She'll do the night shift she says.
In case we miss the next few days due to the craziness of the season, we want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and God's Blessing on each of you.

Dear Matt,
Despite the extra worry & hard work, there is nothing better than being HOME, especially at Christmas. We wish you & your family a joyful Christmas & many Blessings in the New Year. May your struggles continue to produce gains each day, no matter how small, it's all good.

Glad to hear you made it home, Matt, and that your fever is improving. We're making the trek tonight after work, hopefully it's not too late before we get on the road. Hope all keeps going well for you during your visit and that you get to see lots of people that you haven't seen in a long time! So far plans are to come to the rink on the 29th for the game and stuff, maybe see you there if you're feeling alright.

Dear Matt and Family, Merry Christmas to all, so happy to read your blog and keep track of all your progress. Matt I wanted to share with you my story of Angels and time. On Friday July 13th I was on my way to work listening to my radio station...The topic of the day was people calling in with different superstitions etc..I remember a lady calling in with not really a superstition but rather a little habit..She said whenever she happened to look at the clock and if the time was all the same numbers, it meant an angel was near and she would always say Hello..she passed this habit onto her small son as well. I thought this was a really cool thing and I wanted to let you know that ever since that day..ususally at 1:11 I happen to glance at the clock and I always say Hello to an Angel and I ask it to fly to You. If you ever happen to catch the clock remember People are sending Prayers on the wings of Angels to You and I would wish for you this Christmas All the Best and I would like to ask everyone who may read this to watch for a moment in time to send a special Angel to You...Again Merry Christmas Uncle George, Auntie Joanne Jackie Nolan and Matthew, nad Family love your Cousin Melanie (Gustafson) Mcleod and Family.

So happy you are back home for the Holidays Matt. Also the rest of the family. Is there anything better than being altogether in Mom & Dad's home and home town? Those are some of my favorite memories of Christmas's gone by. God is so good, so faithful, may His love surround all of you, filling your hearts with new Joy this Christmas. Judi is here with us and sends her love to all, we like all the other pray - ers out there will continue to pray that fevers and every other thing that would like to weaken Matt would be bound from his domain.
May God's richest blessings surround you, I believe there are many, many smiles, and joys coming in 2008. Aunty Carol, Uncle Wince, Judi
