Twas a Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to give a quick update on Matt's Christmas.... Matt had trouble with his fever on the 24th, trouble breathing, and he wasn't eating - to the point that Mom & Dad tried to convince him that they should return to Saskatoon. Matt was determined that he was going to stay home for Christmas though, and with lots of prayer and diligence on the part of the "doctor" (John) and "nurses" (Mom, Shelley & Irene), and the use of some equipment from the Porcupine Hospital (I can't remember what it was called, but it helped Matt to breathe) Matt's condition had improved that evening. Having got through an emotional day, everyone had a great time celebrating Christ's birthday!! Matt was able to get up in his chair a few times to visit with everyone (there was about 15 adults at the house yesterday for Christmas), play games, and of course, eat turkey dinner! Late last night he was still playing "Scene It" with the family. Praise God for blessing Matt with a wonderful day! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family, and will post more in a few days.

Glad to See you made it home and through all the hullaballo of the holidays. Can hardly see your face for the smile. So Glad the van is working for you. I know where it came from and it was in poor condition when Tri-Hospital Courier owned it so it must have had some work done to it. Keep up the hard work on your recovery and I look forward to take you out again when you come back to Saskatoon to continue your rehab.

Dearest Matthew & Family

It was so wonderful to spend Christmas Day with you and your family. It was especially nice that Grandma could be there with us also. I know that she was happy to be with all of us and to see you again.

I can't believe how smart you were in the new game "Scene It". I think you and Cheryl beat us all. I only got one question right. I DON"T LIKE THAT GAME!!! Ha! Ha!

Hope you are feeling better today. I know you had a few rough spots over the last few days but you did great on Christmas Day. Thank God for that!!

Take care, talk to you soon and God bless you each and every day. You are in our prayers continously.

Love Aunty Sandy, Uncle Orest & Cheryl

Hey Matt;

So glad to hear that you were able to have a good Christmas at home, even though it started off a little rough.

Seems that Mom, Dad, and Shannon and family all had a good Christmas down in Arizona. Sure would have been nice to be in 25 above rather then -10 degree weather.

Continue to have a good time at home...and wishing you and your family a happy new year's and all the best in 2008!!

Love Heather

Matty we hope you had a great Christmas! Your family must have been overjoyed to be able to spend Christmas at home with you.
We are so happy for you! Sounds like you kicked but in board games!
We wish you and your family many great things in the New Year! You are certainly deserving of it.

Hey Matthew!

You probably have no idea who I am, but John and Shelley do! I just want you to know that I am praying for you too! Shelley used to talk about you and Nolan a whole lot when she lived in Preeceville (and of course she said many great things about you guys)...and Jacki used to play volleyball against me and I was always very scared when she jumped up to hit that ball! lol I have also spoken with your mom a few times on the phone...but of course that was years ago.
I have just finished reading the ENTIRE blog and it sounds as though you are doing amazing! Hang in there Matthew and keep up the great work. I'm sure you realize how amazing your family and friends are and each small step is a huge victory for them too!

Hugs,
Cherilyn Tuz
