Foot Long Sub

Matt had a better day today, not as much nausea. He still had to be suctioned for a large amount of secretions, but is feeling better. Was able to get up in his chair for three hours. Yesterday we said he couldn't have company, which is wrong, he can but you have to wear a gown and gloves. Matt and his friends that stopped by yesterday had a good laugh and looked really cute in their costumes. They thought they should take them home. Today Matt was able to eat a lot better and was able to polish off a foot long sub, a Gatorade, a ginger ale and two digestive cookies, all for his midnight snack. The nurse and I thought for sure he would be sick, but he did great. Thank You to everyone for their prayers and support as Matt continues on this road to recovery. Prayers for tomorrow that all infections would clear up and Matt's lungs will get stronger. Psalm 118: 24 " This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it."

Hi Matty
Mom did a great job on the blog. Was at friends for supper. Jacki is here right now and it is noisy! Amy is teething and only has eyes for mommy. I found out she isn't broken and that she does cry.. a lot!Jonmarie and Bobby have been playing togehter most of the day and the house is a mess! But we are having a good time in spite of that. John is happy because the two big teams in rugby have been defeated in the quaterfinals. Australia lost to Enland and New Zealand lost to France. Biggest upset ever! Now South Africa has an excellent chance to win the cup. Thinking of you always and had showed everyone I knew the video of you moving her fingers. "A miracle" was all they could say. Go Matt Go!
Love you Matty
Your bestest sister (not Jacki either!)Shelley

Wow - a foot long sub. That must have been pretty satisfying.

It's raining here since yesterday and so combining is on hold for a while it looks like.

Larissa came home from Briercrest and brought a couple of friends with her. Dan and Erin also came home so we have a full house for Thanksgiving.

Wish I could share some of the homemade pumpkin pie I made - that's if you like that kind of pie. They're all off at the movie and I'm at home, peeling potatoes, making stuffing and of course the bulletin for tomorrow morning. Exciting eh!

Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

From the Hertz household!
