Keeping Nothing Down
Take a step, lose a step. Pattern continues. One of his worst days yet for throwing up. Drank water, threw it up, drank tea, throw it up. Lot 8 lbs since last week. They are still unsure what is causing all the problems, but started him on an IV again for fluids, because he is becoming dehydrated. They did get him up this am at 7:30 am, but it was really cold outside and he didn't enjoy it too much. Also got his hair washed so smells spiffy. Hard days will continue to happen, but we must be thankful for everything. Just the fact that Matt is in a nice, clean bed with a very expensive air mattress, he has mom for a cheerleader and dad to run interference, and trained professionals to help him. I heard a friend of mine say we need to start "Thanks Living". Thanksgiving is just one day of the year, but "thanks living" runs year round. 1Thess. 5:16 "Be joyful always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus". Rejoice that today is nearly over, and tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes.

Hi Matthew. Don't let this setback get you down - you will be okay before long. Just hang in there. This is just one little step back and we knew all along that you would have those days.
You are a very strong individual and you will fight this problem also.
We love you and pray for you all the time. Tomorrow will be a better day. You just wait and see.
Have a good sleep.

HI MATT
Mom and Dad are combining... and i sure miss that but i guess school is a full time job. I start student teaching on October 15 and go for 5 weeks (till November 16) Its bound to be exciting and full of information that will more then likely scatter in my brain and confuse me. But one day i will get it all straightened out and hopefully be a good teacher.
Desirae goes for her drivers test on October 9 in tisdale .. (she is turning 16 tomorrow oct4) scary i know .. the fact of my baby sister driving makes me feel so old.
Lanna, natasha and myself are all working away at university, nose in the books, and head pounding from too much information and not enough sleep.
That is all from now, Love you all, miss you tons, hopefully get to see you soon. Michelle
p.s SO GOOD TO HEAR ALL THE PROGRESS YOU ARE MAKING EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE A FEW STEPS BACK... WE ARE ALL HEAR FOR YOU AND WISH YOU THE BEST. YOU ARE DOING GREAT

Hi Matt- Glad to hear you have a nice air mattress-the gas driller is a half mile west of our house-it is lit up like a city-you can hear it all night-I'm still up baking buns as the crew is all coming for the weekend-early to rise tomorrow as we are rounding up cows-it rained today but not too much. Pray you can get that up chucking under control so you can enjoy thanksgiving dinner!!Ps. 92:1,2 yy
Hi Matt! Sorry you had such a crummy day today. We're so thankful for all the progress you're making and for so many other blessings around you (ie: your positive, good-natured outlook, good care, new chair on its way, spiffy-smelling hair!) Praying that tomorrow is a better day! We're thinking of you always, and constantly sending up little prayers for you. Your Mom is the head cheerleader, but there's a huge squad of us right behind her! Know that we're out there always cheering you on!
Keep on pushing, Matt!
Love, Shannon xoxoxo

Jesus, I come to You, for I labor and am heavy laden and over burdened, and You cause me to rest - You will ease and relieve and refresh my soul.
I take Your Yoke upon me, and I learn of You, for You are gentle(meek) and humble(lowly) in heart, and I will find rest - relief, ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet - for my soul. For Your yoke is easy - not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing, but comfortable, gracious and pleasant; and Your burden is light and easy to be borne.
I cast me burden on You Lord, (releasing the weight of it) and You will sustain me; I thank You that You will never allow me the (consistently) righteous to be moved - made to slip, fall or fail.
In the name of Jesus, I withstand the devil. I am firm in my faith, rooted, established, strong, immoveable and determined. I cease from (the weariness and pain) of human labor; and am zealous and exert myself and strive diligently to enter into the rest(of God) - to know and experience it for myself. Father I thank you that Your presence goes with me and that you give me rest. I will not fret myself, nor shall I let my heart be troubled, neither shall I be afraid. I hope in You, God, and wait expectantly for You, for I shall yet praise You, for You are the help of my coutenance, and my God.
Dearest Matt, the devil would love to discourage you and the family, may the "power" that raised our precious Lord from the dead and the victory of His shed blood, the authority He gave us in using His name be maximized in you, around you and through you, because oodles of us are praying for you. Have a great day!
Hey Matt and family. Never give up hope! I love reading this blog, it makes me feel centered. I am looking forward to meeting you when you come home. I hope the vomiting stops soon. Take care, I will be back again
