Lots of Company
Matt was surrounded by members of the Relitz clan today. Makes such a difference when company comes and breaks up the routine. Had no diarrhea today, but was so hungry at supper, maybe ate too much too fast and everything surfaced again. But he is looking better even though he is so tired. He had a difficult night. He de-sated twice, which he hasn't done for quite awhile. O2 went down to 72% times 2, both times when they laid him on his left side. Lung still isn't strong but we will see. There were able to deflate the cuff for about 2 hours so he could visit and was up in his chair for 2 hours. He's neck is still so sore, with huge knots the size of crab apples. Needs a good massage! Any takers? Mom may have to go back to work this week, and Matt's having a hard time with the idea. Please pray that the right decisions for what needs to be done will come to us clearly and that we follow the path. Psalms 56:4 "In God, whose work I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid, What can mortal man do to me?"

Well Another Night Shift!
I just thought that I would write you a wee note and let you know you are thought about lots, we have been talking about you on this long stretch of night shifts, just incase your ears have been ringing there is a reason for it! I am happy to hear that you are feeling better than you were a couple days ago.. but that desaturation business is for the birds! I don't like to hear that, it brings back scary memories for me!
Well Matt, you keep strong and I will be by to see you.. Yellow gown and all (gives a new meaning to big bird eh?) hahah!
God Bless you, and your family!

Hi Matt and the rest! Happy Thanksgiving! Glad you had a good visit with everyone! Are you eating turkey today? We had a "Newfie" turkey dinner last night at a friend's house. No, the turkey wasn't from Nfld, but my friend is! Ha! I tried a couple of new things, like salt beef and "peas pudding". Wonder if Gary knows what that is?! Anyways, being Thanksgiving, we were of course reminded in church today of what it means to be truly thankful, and I couldn't help but think of you. So much to be thankful for! You have come such a long ways already! I know your Mom has to make some really tough decisions for you and for herself. I also know that God has been in the driver's seat through this entire journey, and He will continue to guide you (and your Mom and Dad!) along your road. God bless you all!

Hi Matthew. What a great visit we had with you and your mom this weekend. Aunty Karen made a delicious thanksgiving supper, didn't she. Sure beats hospital food. Ha!
You looked really good and so cheerful. It was great to hear your voice today - I'm not very good at lip reading, am I?
Have a good sleep and once again, Uncle & I had a good time visiting you. I will see you again soon.
Love Aunty Sandy & Uncle Orest
