Wheelchair ordered
Matt's days are really busy lately. He has been having lots of company and deflates the cuff so he can talk. During that time he was up in his chair for 3 hours. Was tired in the afternoon after 3 1/2 hour trach trial and physio, but a good tired. Also had massage therapy for an hour, so that would make anyone relaxed! We had forgot to mention that Matt moved his middle finger on his left hand yesterday. Some days his movements are more pronounced, and spasms are less. So those are good days. Matt's custom made wheelchair was ordered, which will be great to have one that fits that tall drink of water! Mom says Matt was a little less talkative and quiet today. I think he is feeling with the ordering of the chair that they feel he will never walk. But it is just until he does walk. We know that it will be awhile and he might as well be comfortable. Then we can donate it back for someone who really needs it. Prays that Matt will remain strong in faith. Psalms 62:2 "He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken."

Another Night Shift!
Well Matt, I haven't seen you in ages or at least for me it seems like that.. I sure hope you are ready for all the gossip when I do see you! Ha!ha!I probably won't be able to stop talking for a good hour without a pause! But maybe I should be saving the talking for you, as you have been able to talk with the trach down..
Well Matt, please don't forget you are on our minds as always, and you keep all of us going in many ways! We look up to you and your strength and further more all of us should since you blessed our lives, and we should take all that comes our way with the same attitude as yourself!
Once this long dragged out smiless (no smilies from bed 10)shift is finished I will have a wee nap and come and see you..
I miss you lots!
Stay strong Mr! and the baby steps will become easier and easier..
Love Krista

Hi Matthew & Family
Glad to hear your own special chair is on order. It will fit you perfectly and will help you get around easier until you won't need it anymore. I can't wait to see you zooming around the hallways. Look out everyone!!!! Here comes Matthew.....
We will be in Saskatoon on the 26th in the afternoon. Kevin & Jaimie may come with us to visit you.
Enjoy all those whirlpool baths and massages. You will feel so refreshed each time.
Love You. Aunty Sandy
Hey Matt; so glad to hear about all the progress that you are making...it is absolutely amazing! It will be nice, for the mean time, to have your own wheelchair that fits you! But when you start walking, then you know there will be someone else out there that can use it!
Keep up the hard work, you are doing awesome! Say hi to everyone, and send them my love.
Love Heather
