Whirlpool bath

Today was a busy day for Matt. He had a whirlpool bath, and then went to the gym to listen to a speaker who was quad because of a accident at the age of 17 in 1984. He is an wheelchair rugby player and showed the people present all some different styles of chairs and boards to play certain sports. He was very interesting to listen to. Matt also did a 3 hr trach trail and sat up in the chair for around 4 hrs. He beat his sister in Yahtze and then she beat him Golf. So they both came out even. He was very tired and had a nap after he was back in bed. He was able to eat some dinner and then his sub in the evening. This evening he had some trouble with his pulse going up and lots of secretions, but all in all a good day. Prayers for tomorrow that Matt will continue to do well with his trach trails and his muscles continue to strengthen. Romans 12: Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. God bless each and everyone of you.

Hi Matthew & Family

I bet you felt good and looked spiffy after being in that whirlpool. Sounds like you had a real busy day - no wonder you had to have a nap. I am happy you are able to get around rehab and hear different speakers and get to check out all the different equipment, etc.

Uncle & I will be in Saskatoon next Friday so hopefully we will be able to stop in for a quick visit in the afternoon. We will be staying with Kevin & Jaimie. It is Jaimie's convocation Saturday morning.

Have a very good day. Will be checking the blog tonight to see how your day went.

Thanks girls for keeping us all up to date on your brother. We would be lost without all this good news.

Love Aunty Sandy

Obviously you weren't playing Shelley in Yahtzee b/c she cheats and never loses (not once in the last 20+ years have I ever beat her) HA!!!! Glad to hear you're getting out and about and visiting with other people. We're so happy you're doing so well and getting stronger!! It's only going to get better!!
