Not sure what happened today. We had company and they left a short while ago and didn't want to phone dad so late. Also Jacki and the kids were here for a late Christmas celebration. The kids were so excited to get more presents!
Yesterday Matt was able to get his TV hooked up again right before the Canada/Sweden game. Good thing Canada won! Matt had some relatives for company and since there is no rehab on the weekends, it was pretty quiet. The big concern with Matt is is inability to gain weight. He is so sensitive to coughing spells, and any change in body routine sets him feeling nauseated. So prayers that this will pass and we can start beefing him up to increase his strength. Matt also had some trouble breathing but was relieved quickly. Lamentations 3:22 "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Dad was feeling much better so I think he was able to visit better with Matt. Hopefully have some more exciting news tomorrow.

Hi All. well back at work after the holidays, and yes it still sucks. Hows the rehab going,you are being a good student right.You dont give the nurses a bad time or anything like that do u matt.What about that hockey game thought they blew it again,but they got lucky.Hoping i get holidays for the masters,the kids bought us tickets for xmas. So will be up to see u then,jan 20th or there abouts.Take care and be a good boy,like u can,lil turkey.Later.
yuck i know all about parking tickets at hospitals. but when u have a loved one that is sick that is the least of a persons problems.i used to park in the lot across from the hospital and one day i came out late at night and found a warning on the windshield. the next day i parked at a meter and missed by 4 min. i forget what it cost me. so i paid, what could i do.
sorry to hear about that nasty cough.it is hard enough to get that hollow leg filled up without showing your poor dad what it looks like.
just got home from brandon. havent even unpacked yet as i wanted to see how things were with you. so take care and i pray things get better.ella
Thinking of you-Kelvin came home from work a bit stiff tonight-he got a real workout-too many days off for Christmas-so maybe your real workout will be tomorrow-but then between your sister and Irene I don't know if they gave you time off HA! so you likely needed the weekend off from rehab to recharge!!!Now back at it.
