Lots of Friends

Praise God Matt had a better day today. He was able to get up and go outside for a tour, went past the little school house and up college drive for a bit, got to smell the diesel from all the buses. He got to visit with lots of friends the last couple days and that always brightens his day. Only one vomiting session today, so did keep down a little food. He also had a lot of pockets of secretions in his lungs and was suctioned a large amount. Things are at a stand still with City, talked with a couple people today, but not much progress. Thank God also for the wonderful staff that we have gotten to know and have helped with Matt's care, they have been so encouraging to us all. Prayers for today are that a solution will be found, Matt's lungs will clear up so he will be able to get off the ventilator and get moved to rehab. Psalms 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that you receive them, and ye shall have them.

It probably felt pretty good getting outside into some fresh air, or city air may not be fresh but outside air never the less. Talked to Yvonne on the weekend and she said they were up to see you. She was saying you are doing good, and that you looked real good. You just keep up that good attitude, and work hard Matt, and keep charming those nurses. You know your recovery is going to take time, just keep focused and don't let those rough days keep you down. Just remember Isaiah 40:31, those that hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Well Matt the weather is not the best here, and harvest has been delayed again, we could use a pray for good weather. You are always on our minds and in our prayers. Have a good day!

Hey Matty! Glad to hear that you got to go for a little road trip and are keeping food down. Keep pushing on, we're praying for you out here and enjoy reading your updates on how you're doing. Sorry we didn't get to see you when we stopped in, but had a good visit with your mom. Maybe next time we're heading home we'll be there at a better time. Have a super day!

That is great that you got to go outside today! Must have felt like a million bucks, even though the diesel probably didn't help much. Thinking about you, hope you're progress to City is soon! I know the slow going with hospitals, afterall I do work in one, so my thoughts and prayers go to you, and of course your loving family, there ever step of the way!
