Sleepy Day
Matt had a very sleepy day, lots of nausea and gravol. They are not sure what is causing all the gas build up, but are trying a new med to see if they can control it. He is also starting to spasm much more so it is difficult to keep everything moving. He was up in the wheelchair for a couple hours and took a short walk around third floor. He is still on antibiotics for the lung infection and has five days left of that. He ate well late last night and enjoys home made food. He had his cousin Chris as his RN yesterday and gave him a hard time. Prayers for today that he will have a better day and continue to improve in mobility. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.

Hi Matt!
My name is Allyson Gabrysh. My sister Jen, who's 26th birthday is today, broke her C-5 vertebrae diving into a pool on July 14th, 2007.
Her spinal cord was also badly damaged and they said it was a complete break. She was told she would never regain any movement or sensation from her collarbone down.
Almost 3 months later, she's at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre in Regina. She can move her arms and one wrist. She's had some sensation in her right leg and foot. But it's very sporatic and weak. She was a very competitive athelete(and still is) so she has lots of strength and endurance. She does physio and O.T every day and her arms are like rock by now so she's able to lift light items and push things across at table. Just yesterday, she threw a ball. That was a big moment for her. I just wanted to write you to tell you that we(as a family) know what you're going through and that we're thinking of you on your healing journey. You've gotten over the hardest part Matt and you'll face some difficult times but know it's your attitude that makes or breaks you. It sounds like you have a great support system and that makes all the difference. Jen's doctors were pessimistic as well, but you know, there are miracles every day and you need to show them they are wrong. Praying for you always,
the Gabrysh Family
Hey Matt,
I just want to say that it's great to see and read about the progress that you are making almost on a daily basis. Your determination is remarkable and inspirational and I pray for you that it continues. I hope to come to visit you soon. Take care and keep it going Matt, best wishes to you and your family.
