A Bad Move

Well, today was another off day. Matt was moved to a new room due to renovations and he doesn't even have a TV. He has become so anxious because he has no distractions. We are feeling some of the staff have really given up on him, so please pray that they will see Matt as an individual, not a lost case. He attempted to breathe on his own twice, but he was so anxious that he couldn't do it for very long. Please pray for us as a family so we do not lose faith and give into despair. It has been an extremely difficult time for all of us, and thank all of you for your continued prayers and thoughts.

Hey everyone - Please keep the faith, you have all come a long way thus far don't stop know. That goes for you too Matt. Remember all the great accomplishment you have done in your life, they probably didn't come easy, so keep fighting man. And show those nurses what you are made of, just remember its one breath at a time, then the next.
Joanne - I was in the city Wednesday evening with the ambulance and was going to pop down to see you but didn't have enough time b/c I had to get back and finish my night shift. Please be taking good care of yourself and the rest of the family.
Take care Kim Logan

Hello everyone,
It is likely that many of you don't know me, but I am Ardiena Schatz' mother (good friends of Gary and Jackie)and know Gary and Jackie well. As well, I have met the rest of the family at the wedding and Matt when he lived in Calgary with Gary and Jackie.
I just found out about Matt's accident and I am crying right now as I type. I can not imagine how difficult this is for all of you. I just wanted to let you know that Bill and I are thinking about you and praying that Matt will begin to experience more progress soon. As well, our thoughts and prayers are with you as a family.
Gary and Jackie, we love you! Try to stay strong and let your love for each other carry you through this very difficult time.

Hey guys, it's Nadine..

Not really sure what to say, that I'm sure hasn't already been said, but I'm sure that even hearing things over and over at a time like this isn't such a bad thing and maybe will help keep spirits up at such a hard time. My appologies for not getting on here sooner.

Matt, keep fighting. You've made it through a lot of stuff in your life so far. Don't give up now. You're part of a big family and they need you in their lives! You're a tough guy and I can't remember seeing you back down very much.

To the rest of the family, keep fighting too! Keep encouraging and visiting as often as you're able. And keep on the hospital's case too! Matt's already in a rotten situation and shouldn't have to have an even worse time in the hospital. Maybe the hospital would let you bring in a tv for Matt, or put some movies on a laptop for him?

Keep rested and strong everyone and even though it's tough, you have to have faith that it's all for a reason and that the bigger picture, though we can't see it, is a good one and that things will get better.

Love you all.. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello again Matt and family,

Just got back after a week in the wilderness camping with the bears. Wasn't able to check in until now but Christopher was keeping us updated on Matt's progress. I just finished reading all the updates and although the going has been really tough...it sure seems as though you have made a lot of progress this past week while we were away. One day at a time Matt!

George...We will be in Saskatoon July 31 to August 6th and Lorne would like to meet you somewhere for a coffee! 306-821-0620

Take care everyone...and if you need anything...don't be afraid to ask!

Love Myra, Lorne, Csrson, & Connor
