Another Saturday

Matt was in better spirits today, the new sleeping pill didn't help a whole lot, but he was more at peace today. He had two trials of breathing on his own, 30 and 35 mins. His o2 sats stayed above 90% the whole time. He had two spikes in temperature, but was easily relieved with Tylenol. He also stayed up in his wheelchair for 2 hours today, and again went outside in the heat. The minister came to pray with him, and Matt wants him to come again on Monday before they retest his swallowing reflex. He so wants to pass. Mom says he is getting better with his swallowing, so let's lift our voices loud to the Lord that Matt will pass the test. Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear: I will help you". Thanks for all the great comments from everyone, they really lift our spirits.

Matt, positive thinking and will power are two very important tools you possess to carry you through this. Prayer partners allow us to all to support you and your family. I will pray for a positive result for your swallowing test. It is easier said than done, I know, but if you give your fears over to God he will share the load.

Right on Matt...sounds like you're getting better, which is good to hear. It takes time to heal, so don't get to anxious...just try and get lots of rest to let your body do what needs to be done. Keep a positive attitude and push your boundaries continuously, which will go a long way. I might not comment every day, but I am definitely checking your status every day.

Hi Matthew, George & Joanne

It was great to see you all today and spend some time with you. Even though you slept through our visit Matt, it was wonderful to see you, give your hand a squeeze and give you a little kiss. We love you so very much and are so proud of you and your parents.

Your parents and siblings love you so very much and you can tell in their touch to your face and hands that they are behind you all the way.

Also, you are very lucky to have your Aunty Karen check in on you daily. She is one sweet Aunty.

God Bless you today and always. We will see you again soon.

Love Aunty Sandy & Uncle Orest

To all of you..(John 14:27) "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you;not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not you heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."
