Much needed rest
Matt's trach came out during the night. Unsure exactly what happened, but they inserted a new one. Quite a bit of discharge from it due to the infection. He then began throwing up, possibly from the Penicillin they are crushing and putting down his nasogasric tube(tube in his nose). They started him on Gravol to see if that would help.(I also forgot to mention that he had a mouth guard made by the in house dentist because he was grinding his teeth, due to stress and anxiety. However they haven't used it because he is more relaxed, we think). Mom states he did a breathing test for 35 mins today, but he was practically comatose for the rest of the day. They suspected it may be depression, but we think that his body is finally getting a much needed rest. They didn't even get him up in his chair or try any further breathing on his own, he was so lethargic (tired). I know have used this verse before, but it fits so well. Matt 11: 28 "Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest".

Hi Matt and Families. What i am going to say may sound weird but here goes.... The other night I had a dream of Matt. I went to visit him in the hospital. You were laying in your bed and you had a confused look on your face. probably because you don't know me or remember me. Anyway, you coluld not walk or talk and you were still getting help with your breathing. All of a sudden you sat yourself up on your bed. your chair was by the bed. Then all of a sudden you got up and plopped yourself into you chair!. All by yourself you had no help, everyone that was in your room was shocked that you did that. That is all that I rtemember of that dream because I woke up. No matt you might not remember me because you were pretty young when I moved to AB with my parents. But i remember your mom and your 2 older sisters as well as Nolan. Your mom taught me Kindergarten when I was going to school. Well I hope and pray that you will soon be sitting up and plopping yourself into you chair soon.
Take Care
Kristine Barna
