Resting Day

Matt had a resting day today. After all the trauma of yesterday he did a lot of sleeping. His lung is still draining and he still has a temp. His Oxygen stats stayed up most of the day. Thanks you for all the prayers for Matt. We keep him updated about the blog comments. John 16:23 Whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

Dear Matt, Uncle George, Auntie Joanne, Jackie/Gary and Family, Shelly/John and Family and Nolan: So sorry I haven't been able to write any comments for awhile. Things have been hectic here. But please know that I check this blog daily for any news and also talk to Mom and Dad for any other updates they may have received from you regarding Matt and yourselves. Please keep your spirits up, all of you. I can't imagine what you are all feeling and going through. But we continue to pray for Matt. I'll share with you the lessons that Jacqueline learned at VBS last week - and it applies here too...God is Real; God is with us; God is Strong; God is Awesome; and God is in charge! All of these truths apply to all of us but particularly in Matt's situation! We don't know why this accident happened, but God has a purpose, we may be weak, but God will give us His strength to get through things. He will never leave us. And ultimately He is in charge. Take care, guys! Wish I could see you, but I'm grateful that it sounds like at least Mom and Dad may get a chance to see you anyway! Keep fighting Matt!

Hey Matt & Family
That sister of yours sure if good at keeping us all informed of your progress. You have hit a few bumps in the road last couple of days but do not get discouraged..they're only bumps. We are all praying for you..and prayer is the strongest healer of all. You'll get there Matt.
If God brings us to it..he will bring us through it.
Love & Prayers

Hey Matt & Joanne,

It was really good to see many of your family members at church in Weekes this morning. Knowing that they all came from quite a distance for your annual family reunion - I know that you were not far from their minds at all times. Shelley did get up and give a report on your progress, although I know it was tough for her. Can sure tell how much they all love you and are praying for all the infections to clear etc. By the report here from Friday, it said that Matt was in quite a bit of pain. This got me thinking and I forgot to ask Shelley as to what extend Matt has feeling. Sorry Shelley that I forgot to ask you this morning!

Hi Matt,
Just got home from the weekend in Kelvington. Kelvin was in charge of Cowboy church and there was a good turnout. We check your blog here everyday. God is in control and He knows and cares. Hang in there and talk to you later.
